Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account. When you create an account with us, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current and complete information when creating your account, and keep it up to date
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials — you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Not transfer or sell your account, or use another person's account without permission
• Accept that we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

LFG exists to help gamers find each other and play together. To keep the community safe and welcoming, you agree not to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, defame or discriminate against other users
• Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that exploits or endangers minors
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation
• Spam, phish, scam, or send unsolicited advertising or promotional material
• Sell, distribute or facilitate the purchase of cheats, hacks, bots, account boosting or in-game currency for real money
• Circumvent, reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the Services, our security measures or other users' experience
• Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or the terms of any game publisher
• We may remove content, issue warnings, restrict features or suspend or terminate accounts that breach these standards, at our discretion. You can report problems to us via the in-app reporting tools or by contacting us.

You retain ownership of the content you submit, post or display on LFG, such as your profile information, group descriptions, messages and feedback ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display and distribute that User Content as necessary to operate, improve and promote the Services. This licence ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except that content shared with other users (such as messages they received or group posts) may persist in limited form where it is not reasonably practical to remove, and backup copies may persist for a short period.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights needed to grant this licence. We do not pre-screen User Content, but we have the right (though not the obligation) to review and remove any User Content that we believe breaches these Terms.

The Services, including the LFG name, logo, design, software, code and all related intellectual property, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Australian and international copyright, trade mark and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written permission.

Game names and trademarks referenced within the Services are the property of their respective owners. LFG is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any game publisher or platform holder.

The Services may display advertisements and sponsored content, including advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. By using the Services, you agree that we may display such advertisements in connection with the content and information you provide and your use of the Services.

Advertisements may be targeted based on information such as your device type, approximate region, app usage and gaming preferences, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not knowingly serve personalised advertising to users under the applicable minimum age.

Any dealings you have with advertisers or third parties found through the Services, including the delivery of and payment for goods or services, are solely between you and that third party. We are not responsible for the products, services, content or practices of any third-party advertiser, and any terms, privacy practices or losses arising from your dealings with them are yours alone.

The Services are currently free. If we introduce paid features, subscriptions or in-app purchases, they will be offered through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the applicable store's payment terms, pricing and refund policies will apply. We will disclose the price and what is included before you purchase, and we may change prices or features with reasonable notice. Paid features are licensed to you for personal use and are non-transferable except as required by law.

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, apps and services, such as gaming platforms, voice chat services and social networks. These are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We work hard to keep the Services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including features we consider underused or unviable, with or without notice where reasonably necessary. We may also add new features and impose limits on certain features.

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Services. When your account is terminated, the licence and rights granted to you under these Terms end, and provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and dispute provisions) will survive.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that any information or matches provided through the Services will be accurate or suitable for you, or that defects will be corrected. You use the Services at your own risk. We are not responsible for the conduct of other users, whether online or offline, or for the outcome of any interaction, game or arrangement you make with other users — always use sensible judgement when meeting or playing with people you find through LFG.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law. Where consumer guarantees apply and cannot be excluded, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to resupplying the Services or the cost of resupplying them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LFG and its directors, employees, contractors and agents will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, enjoyment or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Services.

Where we are found liable for any loss, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim (which, while the Services are free, will ordinarily be AUD $100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LFG and its directors, employees, contractors and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in any way connected with your User Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us first — we take disputes seriously and will try to resolve any issue in good faith.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "last updated" date. For significant changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the Services and delete your account.
